Objectifs Artist Talk: Dita Alangkara

There will be an Objectifs Artist Talk this Saturday (6 April, 2013 from 4pm -5:30) where 

Dita Alangkara, Chief Photographer of the Associated Press Jakarta bureau, will talk about working as a photojournalist, working for a wire agency and also about the documentary scene in Indonesia. 

Dita started shooting professionally in 1996, freelancing for various foreign publications until finally joined the AP in 1999 and was appointed as chief photographer in 2008. During his career Dita has covered various stories in Asia-Pacific, among them are East Timor's breakaway from Indonesia in 1999, Bali bombings in 2002 and 2005, Aceh separatist conflict from 2000-2004, sectarian violence in Maluku islands, Indian Ocean tsunami in 2004, sports events like Australian Open tennis, Asian Games, Rugby World Cup and other major events.
